Idea generator evenings
EducationCommunities are asserting themselves and becoming empowered to innovate. As local authorities and national governments struggle to deliver central policy objectives, around education, health and social care, communities are finding that they need to take more ownership of local services. This comes at some cost to individuals, but also creates great opportunities for innovation and for prioritizing issues that matter locally.
Together with Arran EcoSavvy and the University of Northumbria, we organised a Idea Generator evening. People came from across the island to ponder some far fetched and entertaining scenarios, acting as a vehicle for discussing potential tools and solutions which would assist in tackling the real challenges that islanders face.
